Hi everyone! I’m back with my third Top Ten Tuesday post and this week’s prompt is to list the top 10 Standalone Books That Need a Sequel. However, I made a change as I did in my last Top Ten Tuesday prompt.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme that was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

So, I can definitely remember a couple of standalones that I’d love a sequel to but I’m going to add a twist of my own to this prompt. My prompt will be about the Top Ten series that I need to start or finish reading in 2019.

Scarlet CinderWinter

  1.  The Lunar Chronicles:  I have read Cinder, the first book in the series and completely forgot to read Scarlet, Cress, and Winter. Even though there are 4 or 5 novellas, I am sorry to say that I don’t have the time to read those #NeverthoughtI’dsaythat

Illuminae

2. The Illuminae Files The Illuminae Files trilogy by authors Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff has been on my TBR for a year(I think). Somehow, I never pick it up but I have seen many of my blogger and bookstagram friends recommend it so I hope I can start reading the series this year

The Winter of the Witch

3. The Winternight Trilogy: I loved reading The Bear and the Nightingale and The Girl in the Tower so much that I had to stop myself from reading the final book in the trilogy, The Winter of the Witch.

Six of Crows

4Six of Crows duologyThis duology is yet another book to which I say, “I’ll you soon!” or “I’ll add you to this month’s TBR.” or “I’ll surely read you next year! See? Added you to my neverending TBR list” I really hope I can finish this duo this year because I can’t meet with my Nikolai otherwise.

The Winner's Curse

5. The Winner’s Trilogy by Marie RutkoskiI read The Winner’s Curse so long ago that I had forgotten about it. I definitely need to finish this trilogy.

7. Shatter Me series by Tahereh MafiI need Defy Me in my hands right nowwwwwww!!! Besides Kenji’s novella, I’ve read it all.

This Mortal Coil

8. This Mortal Coil by Emily SuvadaAnother underrated -but highly recommended by some bookstagrammers- series that I’ve added to my cart and on my Goodreads TBR but I’ve never checked it out.

Shades of Magic

9. Shades of Magic by V.E. Schwab: I discovered this series waaayyy before blogging and bookstagram and I have never picked it up. It’s on my Goodreads TBR and I hope I will read it this year.

Muse of Nightmares

10. Strange the dreamer duology: It has been so long since I’ve read Strange the Dreamer and by now, I have acquired two editions of Muse of Nightmares but they’re just sitting on my shelf *facepalms^(infinity)*.

That’s a wrap on today’s Top Ten Tuesday post featuring Top Ten series that I need to start or finish reading in 2019.

I realized that I don’t really want to switch places with most of the characters I love so I added a twist of my own to this prompt. In this post, I’ll be listing the top 10 characters I’d love to be friends with.

Harry Potter Goodreads cover
  1. Luna Lovegood: Of course, Hermione was in my mind too. However, I love Luna’s character as well. Luna is such a carefree character that one can’t help but want to be friends with her.

Silver Shadows

2. Sydney Sage: Sydney is one of my favorite heroines. She is not only a brilliant woman but is fierce, loyal and brave. I can’t gush enough about her.

The Priory of the orange tree

  3. Tané: I love all the characters in The Priory but Tané who is a dragon rider. I love dragons so I’d definitely want to be friends with her

Cassandra Clare

4 & 5. Emma Carstairs and Isabelle Lightwood: I love both of these badass women and I’d love to be friends with them

Winter of the witch

6. Vasya: This woman has gone through so much and she never backed down. I badly want to be friends with her.

Sarah J. Maas

 7. Feyre: I don’t love Feyre that much but I definitely want to hang out with Rhysand and the rest of the gang

Pride and Prejudice

  8. Elizabeth Bennet: I’d definitely see her and I becoming the best of friends.

We Hunt the Flame

9. Zafira: Zafira is a huntress in a place where women were forbidden to do so. I love Zafira and the rest of the gang from We Hunt The Flame so I’d definitely want to be friends with her.

The Cruel Prince

10. Jude: Okay, just hear me out. Jude is not one of my top favorite characters but I would love to spend a day in fae land and hang out with some of the characters ..even if I might not come out of there alive or sane.

That’s a wrap on today’s Top Ten Tuesday post featuring top 10 characters I’d love to be friends with. I’m sure there are many other characters that deserve a place in this list but I couldn’t remember them all.

Thank you for reading

Do you like the choices I made? Would you want to be friends with any of them ? or, would you like to switch places with any of them ?  Let me know in the comments below!

Hi everyone! This is my first Top Ten Tuesday post and this week’s prompt is to list the top 10 places mentioned in books that I’d like to visit.

It’s difficult to choose 10 places out of thousands I’ve been to. I literally had to comb through over 1000 books and my memory to make this list. Some are fictional while some are real places mentioned in books I’ve read up until now.

The Chronicles of Narnia
  1. Cair Paravel: The Chronicles of Narnia series is one of my favorite series and I’ve always dreamed of visiting the fictional realm of Narnia. Who wouldn’t dream of a fantasy world of magic, mythical beasts, and talking animals?

Outlander

2. Scotland: By Scotland, I mean I’d love to visit the present Scotland.

Harry Potter

3. Hogwarts & Hogsmeade: While I can’t get inside the book and be a part of the fictional world, I’d love to visit the universal or WB studios…

The Priory of the orange tree

  4. Seiiki: BUT only after the epilogue of Kingdom of Ash when the war is over and things have had time to calm down and rebuild.

Cassandra Clare

  5. Los Angeles: I’d love to meet Emma, Julian, and the Blackthorns, Kit and of course, Church, Magnus, and Alec…

the Night Circus

6. The Night Circus: One of my favorite books from last year, The Night Circus has an enchanting setting I can easily lose myself into. Plus I’m a night owl and it will fare well while visiting the tents till dawn.

Sarah J. Maas

  7. Velaris: I would love to visit Velaris and The Night Court. I loved the magical setting, Rhysand and the rest of the gang

Game of Thrones gif

  8. The Citadel: Presenting The Citadel from Game of Thrones, one of my favorite -I-hope-not- fictional libraries.

Moonlight Scandals

9. New Orleans: Moonlight Scandals is the third book in the De Vincent series and is set entirely in New Orleans.

Anna and the French Kiss

10. Paris: Maybe it sounds cliché, but Paris will always be in the list of places I’d like to visit.

There you go! My list of Top Ten places – fictional and real- that I’d like to visit.

Thank you for reading
