WWW Wednesdays #6: Weekly Reading Update

Hi everyoneHappy Wednesday and welcome to my weekly reading update post or the WWW Wednesdays. I have been reading my usual count of books but I’ve been failing to write any blog reviews for them. *sobs* My last blog review was a mini-review post and I have to write so many reviews that I’m in a panic. Hopefully, I’ll be in control soon .

Without any further ado, here’s my weekly reading update post ….

Top Ten Tuesday- “Outrageous” Things I’ve Done for the Love of Books

Hi everyone! I’m back with my fifth Top Ten Tuesday post and this week’s prompt is to list the Outrageous Things I’ve Done for the Love of Books. We book lovers have done a lot of “outrageous” things that we don’t consider to be “outrageous”…I mean, I don’t.. not really.

Top Ten Tuesday- "Outrageous" Things I’ve Done for the Love of Books
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme that was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

So, here I am.. just a book lover listing all the things I have done (and probably will in the future) for my love of books…

  • Started my own Book Blog and Bookstagram: Well, it hasn’t been THAT long since I started book blogging and clicking book photos( @book_rambler) but I can’t believe I took this leap. I used to blog about fashion and lifestyle but fell out of it and am so happy blogging about books now.
Top Ten Tuesday- "Outrageous" Things I’ve Done for the Love of Books
  • Reading all night long: What? This is outrageous? Girl, if you could hear my Mom screaming at me during 5am to shut the damn book and go to sleep, then yeah I guess you can shelve it under “outrageous” category.
Top Ten Tuesday- "Outrageous" Things I’ve Done for the Love of Books
  • Reading while eating: I want to credit my parents for pointing this “outrageous” thing out to me. Is it really though ? Outrageous? If y’all can watch TV while eating, I sure as h*ck can read. Yeah, I literally said that to my parents.
Top Ten Tuesday- "Outrageous" Things I’ve Done for the Love of Books
  • Reading while walking: Alright, this is outrageous ’cause I walked into a lamp post while reading and the bump on my head was no joke. Lesson learned.
Top Ten Tuesday- "Outrageous" Things I’ve Done for the Love of Books
  • Kiss interruption: Mid kiss, I had to flee because I just remembered that I left my book with my baby niece( who had given my book a thorough bath). In my opinion, this isn’t outrageous because I’m glad my niece interrupted but really ? did she really have to play with my book and give it a bath * cries like a baby *
Top Ten Tuesday- "Outrageous" Things I’ve Done for the Love of Books

That’s a wrap on today’s Top Ten Tuesday post featuring five “outrageous” things I’ve done for my beloved books.

Thank you for reading

What about you? Have you done anything outrageous for your love of books? I would love to know them all!

The Confessions of Grannie Langton

I’m currently reading The Confessions of Frannie Langton by Sara Collins. It’s the author’s debut novel and it reminds me of Alias Grace.

The Day We met by Roxie Cooper

I finished reading The Day We Met by Roxie Cooper and it was a harrowing read for me. I was fully expecting to DNF it but to my surprise I liked it. I liked it in a way one “likes” Nicholas Sparks’ heart wrenching novels. I’ve tried to express my thoughts on this book in my review post which has been scheduled for tomorrow.

the hunting Party

I’ve been putting off reading The Hunting Party by Lucy foley for so long that you can see this under my “Reading Next” section of my previous WWW Wednesday posts.

The Cold is in her bones

I received this review copy of The Day We Met from the publisher and I’m worried if I’ll like it or not.

Synopsis:Stephanie and Jamie are meant to be. The problem is they’re both with other people…

Stephanie doesn’t believe in fate, true love or living happily ever after. She’s content enough being engaged to Matt. But then she meets Jamie, who understands her more than anyone else ever has.

Jamie is happily married to his childhood sweetheart Helen and believes in everything Stephanie doesn’t. So why does he have such a strong connection with Stephanie?

When Stephanie and Jamie meet one fateful weekend in 2006 it will change everything…

Ten years. Two people. One epic love story.
