Some of my Bookish Confessions: "I Should Have Read That" Book Tag

I’m naming this post as Some of my Bookish Confessions because it feels like I’m confessing my bookish sins..so yeah. Thank you so much Simant @ Flipping Through the Pages and one another blogger whom I can’t remember (sorry) for tagging me!

Rules:

  1. Thank the person who tagged you, and link back to their post.
  2. Link to the creator Beth from Books Nest blog.
  3. Answer the questions below.
  4. Tag 10 others to take part.
  5. ENJOY!

A book that a certain friend always tells you to read

Six of Crows

Six of Crows and its sequel have been recommended to me about a million times *slight exaggeration* now. I even have the collector’s edition on my shelf but I still can’t take the time to read it.

A book that has been on your TBR forever, and yet you still haven’t picked it up

Muse of Nightmares

Well, not forever, but I admit I have two editions of Muse of Nightmares sitting on my bookshelf for – what it seems like- eternity. I loved Strange the Dreamer so much that I can’t believe I haven’t read its sequel!

A book in a series you have started, but haven’t gotten round to finishing

The Winter of the Witch

I’ve read and LOVED the first two books in the Winternight trilogy but I have yet to read the third and final book, The Winter of the Witch.

A classic you have always liked the sound of, but never actually read

Dorian Gray

I read one page of this classic in high school and loved it. However, I forgot all about it later.

A book that inspired a film/TV adaptation that you really love, but you just haven’t read it yet

Harry Potter

..and never will I find the time to read this. Maybe, I’ll listen to the audiobook. Is there an audiobook for this? I REALLY f-ing hope so.

A book you see all over Instagram, but haven’t picked up yet

the Sun is also a Star

The Sun is Also a Star was so popular on bookstagram a few months ago. Get Underlined was doing a massive promotion but I still didn’t get the urge to pick it up. Again, looking at my TBR, I don’t think I will pick it up…however, we shall see.

The Beholder by Anna Bright: *Stares at cover for 10 mins* Whaaat? Look at that cover, looking like the Choco Lave cake of all holy book covers. Okay, besides the cover..lemme tell you that it’s The Odyssey + Cinderella retelling.

Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Books on my Summer '19 TBR

Finale by Stephanie Garber: I’m highly anticipating this third and final instalment of the Caraval series. I didn’t like Caraval much but I loved Legendary so I’m eager to see how Stephanie Garber will wrap up this trilogy!

The Bride Test by Helen Hoang: Like how many times have you heard me screaming about The Bride Test? If you’re new to my blog, probably never so let me tell you…after reading Helen’s debut The Kiss Quotient, I immediately snatched my phone to look up her upcoming books and there it was…in all its yellow glory..THE BRIDE TEST!!!!
